HOW WE’LL PIVOT IN 2022

I am so certain that at this time of the year most of you must have your vision boards, full of new year resolutions for both personal and work or businesses, which is so crucial to set the bar on what you really need to achieve through-out the year at the very beginning.

Was on the same plot until when I got to read this book it doesn't have to be crazy at work written by Jason Fried and David Hansson, the two minds behind basecamp that got me to re-thinking on so many elements when it comes to scaling up in business.

I discovered this book among tiffanyleighdesign FAQ’s with her fans and I am so glad that I added it on my wish list books; she is among the design guru that I look up to.

Considering that the interior design  market is so niche and being a new player in the market, we have been encouraged to be more considerate when it comes to our business models, work flow and project management for excellence and sustainability  and here is our take ;

•  More of what we do every day is a choice – This book has been an eye opener for me and I am sure it’s same to most of you. They have emphasized on the concept of effectiveness such as focusing on time management and processes instead of hierarchies.

As a boutique studio with key team members working as part timers, we are committing to keep on streamlining on operation processes for efficiency. We have perfected our on boarding process by having an investment guide (inquire for it here )which  elaborate more of our key services, work flow, fees breakdown and all the neat gritty which gives client a bigger picture of who we are and what we offer before engaging us fully.

We envision to use basecamp to truck our ongoing projects where our clients can view the status on their projects and same time bring the team to speed on what projects we have on board and status of each all at once thus  avoid thread of emails and long meetings so we can focus on creating beautiful homes .

In putting our suppliers list in check together with trucking orders and our accounting, quick books as been our life server as we also use the same to send costs estimates and payments reminders to our clients.

• Knowing what you’ll say NO to is better than knowing what you will say YES to – No is a precision instrument, a surgeon’s scalpel, a laser beam focused on one point. Yes is a blunt object, a club, a fisherman’s net that catches everything indiscriminately. This sentence alone is worth the entire book.

Mirroring this to our business line, we have been getting a lot of calls on whether we offer commercial interior design services and we get to say No because we are tailored to residential interior design and yes, we have been rejecting more jobs simply because, we so much want to be the best on what we do every day and perfect ourselves everyday for excellence.
